Terms of service

These terms govern your use of cv0 (cv0.org and app.cv0.org). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

cv0 stores your résumé as structured data, screens a job description against it, proposes a tailored version and cover letter, renders PDFs, and can suggest values for job-application forms through an optional browser extension. cv0 is currently in public beta: features may change, and we may pause or limit them while we fix problems.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate account details. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything done under your account. One person per account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the résumés, job descriptions, letters, and facts you put into cv0. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process, render, and return that content to you, including sending it to our AI provider to generate text you asked for. You are responsible for having the right to use anything you upload.

AI output

Generated text is a proposal, not a fact. cv0 marks every claim with a provenance status and defaults unverified claims off, but you are responsible for reviewing what you send. Do not submit a résumé, cover letter, or application answer you have not read. We make no promise that any output will lead to an interview or an offer.

The extension

The extension only fills fields you have reviewed and approved, never submits a form, and stops on unknown fields, CAPTCHAs, one-time codes, legal attestations, or sensitive demographic questions. You remain the applicant of record for every submission you make.

Acceptable use

Do not use cv0 to misrepresent your identity or experience, to apply on behalf of someone who has not authorized you, to scrape or mass-submit applications, to probe or overload the service, or to store content that is unlawful or that you have no right to hold. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and payment

The free plan includes a monthly allowance of role screens, tailoring sessions, cover letters, rewrites, and extension fills. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, renews automatically, and can be cancelled at any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. "Unlimited" features are subject to fair use to keep the service available for everyone. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal. If you believe you were charged in error, write to hello@cv0.org within 14 days.

Availability and liability

cv0 is provided as is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it, and we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost data you have not exported, or indirect damages, to the extent the law allows. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. We can close accounts that break these terms or that stay inactive for more than 24 months, with notice where possible.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@cv0.org.
